Virtual Information Sessions

We will be hosting virtual information sessions to discuss the Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program, including program elements and the application process. We invite you to join our virtual sessions which take place via Zoom. All sessions will be recorded and posted to the Rangel Program YouTube site.

Registration is required for each session. Please be sure to review the confirmation email containing the Zoom meeting details.


2022 Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program Office Hours

Register for office hours for the Graduate Fellowship! Office Hours will be hosted by Rangel Program staff on Mondays and Thursdays leading up to the application deadline.
After reviewing information on the Rangel website and recorded webinars, please come prepared with specific questions about the program, life as a Foreign Service Officer, the application, or other aspects of the Fellowship. Note this will be an open conversation without a presentation. These sessions will not be recorded and are open to all potential applicants, fellowship/student advisors, recommenders, and those interested in the Fellowship. Attendees may enter and exit the meeting at their convenience.

This informational session will discuss the lifestyles of Foreign Service Officers for those interested in the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service Fellowships.


Information Session for the Southwest-Area – Friday, August 20 at 3:30pm-4:30pm EST

A Conversation on Fellowship and Foreign Service Career Opportunities – Saturday, August 28 at 1pm EST

2019 Rangel Fellow and University of Pennyslania alumna, Aminata Sy, will be holding a session with the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program to share her experience as a Rangel Fellow and answer questions about the Foreign Service life and career. Rangel Program Director, Patricia Scroggs, and 2008 Rangel Fellow and Foreign Service Officer, Greg Pardo, will also be there to answer questions about how to become an American diplomat and share their experiences.


Bringing Your Family Into the Fold – Tuesday, August 31 at 4:30pm-5:30pm EST
